Samuel is a British actor based in Italy. From 2010 – 2013 he trained at East 15 Acting School (this year voted No. 1 in the UK) on the BA World Performance course. On this course he trained in traditional Western theatre practises and world theatre. Specifically Samuel became passionate about masks and Asian performance, such as Balinese dance-drama. He also had the fortune to work with the British commedia specialist and director Didi Hopkins (One Man, Two Guvnors – National Theatre) who introduced him to Commedia dell’arte.
From 2016 – 2018, he trained at ATF, where he further explored the world of physical theatre. Here he also met Mauro Groppo and Paolo Scaglia, where they created together The Three Dots company and the show MIMES, which was performed on festivals such as; Camden Fringe, Torino Fringe, Milano Clown, MIMOS, Fisico and Dinamico.
As a professional actor Samuel has worked both in theatre and TV/cinema internationally, working in China, Japan, Singapore, India, France, Germany, Italy and Greece.
Most recently Samuel has created a one-man Commedia dell’arte show called “Il Servitore di nessun Padrone” which he has two versions performing in both Italian and English.
In December you will be able to see Samuel on the TV (RAI or Netflix) in the series Sandokan.
